Tried this with somebody! Currently exploring what i do and don't like... Well, I like being put in holds! But I tap pretty fast so far...
So i tried this with somebody else to train my endurance... We went for an inverted bearhug... Maybe I should've chose. A different hold, bein upside down for so long... Tapped because of that instead of pain or te hold...haha! Only gotten at 2 minutes (basewas 1 minute). Tons of fun and also nice training for endurance!
The victim and heel choose a hold they both enjoy and which they both know the victim can take for an extended duration. The victim is placed in the hold for a "base time". Then he gets a [1xbase time] rest, and the hold is reapplied for [2xbase time], then a [1xbase time] break and a [3xbase time] application and so on. Once the victim finally submits in the hold (say, during the [5xbase time] duration) the times start to go down with each application. (i.e. to [4xbase time] then [3xbase time] then [2xbase time] then [1xbase time] again.) During this decreasing phase, the victim *cannot* submit from the hold, and must endure the times.
The rest time between applications is ALWAYS [1xbase time]
The cycle can be repeated, each time trying to get the victim to increase their tolerance.
It's interesting because once the victim reaches their tolerance level it is hard to take the decreasing time holds because they are already weakened, but it is also possible.
The base time can be any duration (30 seconds, 5 minutes, etc) depending on the endurance of the victim and the sadism of the heel.
