I found some ones when he was younger solidly built like a bodybuilder smoother too when he first started out...are you kidding me always looking for steves matches or any other brit pro powerhouse matches.....There just isn't a lot out there of his matches and I always wondered if you can purchase them anywhere...you tube wrestling brit pro matches to view is like watching muscle porn but way better because of ROUGHNESS involved.
There was a time when pro wrestling was real and this was good. It is an absolute disgrace what we have now, pre scripted nonsense that is an insult to the world of sports where people deliberately lose (would never be tolerate din any other sport). Even calling "pro" wrestling wrestling is a disgrace. It seems that this "show" makes money and this is a total corruption of what once was a very genuine sport.
I call it the muscle ballet today----tho you have to be in good shape to take the controlled holds its not like when in my dads day it was a brute powerhouse match ups to watch.
I agree entirely with all you say, wrestling nowadays can't be called wrestling, it's nothing but rubbish. bring back the old days of great moves, holds and escapes, that's the way I want to wrestle

That is a great 10:34 minutes of wrestling between Wilson and St Clair. Pity it had to end early. I love watching the long held submission holds (the arm lever) when he is trying to weaken his left arm, with the pain of the throws on the back hammer.
I have always found that sort of skilful submission wrestling so sensuous.

I know most guys will not have seen the old style W O S wrestling at the time it was on black and white TV, but for the guys like me that remember watching it, please lets have your comments.
I never missed a Saturday afternoon at 4pm, I would go round to my grandmothers to watch it with her, she loved it, and at 9 years old so did I, she would shout at the TV, always for the good guy of course.
I really loved the technical side of it, the moves from one hold to another, and the escapes, real or not I loved to watch the holds and how they put them on, also I would say to myself and gran, how's he going to get out of that, but they would and put an hold on there opponent.
I learned a lot from watching W O S wrestling over the years, so lets have your thoughts on it, your stories of watching it in the 60, 70, and 80s, and if your to young to have seen it on TV ( you lucky sod ) please try the internet and lets have your comments
