Do you ever kinda obsess over hot matches even years later? I think a lot about when I wrestled a guy who was 6’5 but skinnier than me. After I beat him in arm wrestling I assumed I’d also overpower him in regular wrestling. But I’d never wrestled someone that tall before and it was more challenging than I expected. At one point I got him in a full nelson but right away he started bucking like a bronco and I had to let go because I almost smashed into some furniture in my room. A couple of minutes later he started to put a full nelson on me. Now I’ve got a confession: I never tap on purpose, but I didn’t fully resist the full nelson going on because I wanted the satisfaction of breaking out of it like I’ve seen in pro wrestling. But I got confused in trying to impersonate what I’d seen the pro wrestlers do to break out - so rather than putting my arms behind his and pressing forward to break the hold, I had my arms in front of his and was basically just flexing my pecs while stuck in a full nelson. Needless to say, that does nothing to break the hold - so it was like I did a most muscular pose and he responded by cranking down on my neck even more. Not realizing my mistake, I was confused why I wasn’t breaking free from this skinny smooth guy so I just tried the same flexing move again...and he ended up driving my chin down into my chest. A minute or two later he let go and I figured maybe he got tired since he was way skinnier than me. But I found out later he didn’t understand how submission worked and decided to let me go because he said, “I didn’t want to be a jerk and hurt your neck.” (When he told me that via text I immediately got hard on the subway platform and had to sit down.)
